With fresh color hues and uniquely overlaid illustrations, the design showcases an optimistic aesthetic that personifies the fusion of key ingredients in each deliciously healthy crafted flavor.
Jimmy Chew has scrutinized every element in the packaging design, from colors and iconography to font type and materialization. By switching to the use of a paper lid instead of plastic, the design aligns with Sogurt's brand values of spreading love and wellness. The integration of a positive messaging "Crafted With Love And All Things Good" further accentuates their brand values.
The packaging design of Sogurt has been carefully crafted to promote readability and provide a clear extraction of product information. The information hierarchy, content reading experience, and visual design have all been strategically considered to enhance the user's experience.
The project started in August 2019 in Singapore and was completed in October 2020. The new packaging designs were revealed to the market in January 2021. Throughout the design process, Jimmy Chew incorporated empathy-driven service design by understanding the client's personality, business, and customer needs through interviews and feedback.
Despite the challenges faced during the project, such as production and logistics delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the new packaging design successfully reflects the Sogurt brand and founder's personality. With its bright pastel shades and unique illustrations, the design captures the brand's approachable, fun-loving, free-spirited, and elegant voice.
This design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative qualities that meet professional and industrial requirements. The design integrates industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to contribute to a better world.
